Looking for a book recommendation - Canadian
I have a good friend, a Canadian, at the other side of the world recovering from serious surgery.
I would like to send him an inspiring, compelling military history book that showcases Canadian courage and valor. May I ask for recommendations please? thanks in advance John |

Hi John
Above and Beyond: The Canadians' War in the Air, 1939-45 - Spencer Dunmore Vimy: The Battle and the Legend-Tim Cook Salty Dips Naval Assoc of Canada Ok, that last one isn't necessarily full of inspiring, compelling military history but they are darn good reads. You are a good friend. regards Darrell

Christie Blatchford's Fifteen Days.
Blatchford is a Canadian journalist and her book recalls her time in Afghanistan, embedded with Canadian troops.

"In Their Own Words" recounts moments which resulted in Valour awards for Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, and as the title suggests it's in the words of the recipients.
