Is the 'LAMBOURNE & Co BIRMINGHAM' mark on the Imperial Service Badge of any help? We can date the ISB from 1910.

Not entirely certain when cessation of ISB manufacture occurred, though can estimate mid-WWI... perhaps someone can furnish us with the official blurb on this?

We know Army Order 434 of 1922, promulgated the discontinuation of the wearing when in uniform of SWBs, wound stripes and chevrons denoting overseas service:

Now, has anyone come across any of the following that I am keen to find out if Lambourne made;

The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment)

Machine Gun Corps

Middlesex Regiment

Leicestershire Regiment

Any of the London badges

Nozzer, if it's of any value, I have never come across a Lambourne-marked Queen's cap badge.

Regards to all,

JT

Default Lambournes...

Nozzer et al,

One London badge, at least: 4th County of London (Civil Service Rifles).

Not on the list so far, but that I have: Army Pay Corps; Buckinghamshire Battalion; Essex Regiment; RAMC; RE; Royal Fusiliers; Royal Sussex Regiment; West Yorkshire Regiment; Barrow & North Lonsdale VTC; Berkshire Yeomanry; E. Lancashire Regiment; Gloucestershire 4/5/6 Battalions; Lovats Scouts; N. Devon Hussars; RA Territorial (with and without moving wheel); Royal Scots Greys.

And some I've seen, but don't own: 7th Dragoon Guards; 12th Officer Cadet Battalion; Fife & Forfar Yeomanry (Round badge).

Not at home, so cannot check for sweat holes on any of the bimetals.

Best regards,

Tim

Hi, thanks for this post, I have just found my first Norfolk Regt shoulder title: LAMBOURNE & CO (underscored "O")
BIRMINGHAM

The Cambridgeshire Regt. (Bi-metal): LAMBOURNE & CO (underscored "O") BIRMINGHAM

King's Royal Rifles, KC B/Brass: LAMBOURNE & CO (NO underscored "O") BIRMINGHAM

Norfolk Regt, pre 1937 Bim: LAMBOURN
BIRMING
(This strike on the slider is so bad that this is all that is visible, there are no brazing holes and the scroll which is overlaid is slightly buckled).

Lancashire Fusiliers, Bim: LAMBOURNE'S
BIRMINGHAM
(This stamp is indistinct towards the end)

Northamptonshire Regt, Post 1902 three turret castle, Bim: LAMBOURNE & CO (NO underscored "O") BIRMINGHAM
(This badge has a clipped slider and no brazing holes)

Norfolk Regt shoulder title: LAMBOURNE & CO (underscored "O")
BIRMINGHAM

None of these badges were bought online nor recently, the reason I have put this thread together is that I would be interested in others opinions, there does seem to be variations in Lambournes slider stamps, forum members comments would be welcomed.
