"Any takers? You can't all have bought it first time round."

Sorry, I'm afraid I did - and very good it is

Hi Jon,

Just waiting for payday, I'm still interested.

Out of curiosity does it include the red and blue instructor lapel badges?

Michael,

One waiting for you when ready.

The book mentions but does not illustrate the various official metal instructors badges - which are covered and illustrated in my lapel badge book Doing Their Bit. I'm not sure what you mean by the red and blue instructors badges. Can you explain please?

I'm sure it's the ones you are thinking of, one is red with civil defence around the bottom and Instructor through the middle (a gold text version and a silver text version), the other is blue with the same text in silver All three have Queen's Crowns.

There is also a red one with LARP and a Kings Crown, one with ARPS in red with the Kings Crown and one with LAGC in red with the Kings Crown. I'm not sure if there are more.

I'll look in your book when I get home.

Michael,

I'm with you now. The red and blue versions were as your description states Queen's Crown versions and hence post-war which is what confused me as my book only covers WW2. The others are described.

One day I'm hoping to update the CD book and intend to cover post-war CD insignia if I do.

Right, sorry to confuse you.

Sounds like your book will help me separate my war time badges from post war though.
