Default L/Cpl Hollingsworth Kings Own

Gents
Looking at this lot I recently acquired (modern beret), I'm trying to work out whether Hollingsworth would have been in Norway with the paras?
Anyway to find out?
He is not on para data.org.
Could he be in the pre war Indian photo?
Any ideas appreciated
Regards

I agree with Belly, I see "H. Illingsworth" on the Norway appreciation certificate

Can't find him on Forces War Records or FindMyPast. Best bet would be to send for this death certificate and send for his records, assuming he has been deceases for 25 years or over so a next of kin signature isn't required.

The Norway link. 1 Border (1 AL Bde. 1 AB Div) should have served in Norway from early May - Aug 45. Mike

Default Numpty Jon

Hi gentlemen.
My error entirely. I had been explaining about the names on a cardboard poppy I'd written to my eldest. Jon Hollingsworth is one of those. Apologies for misleading you all when I'VE asked for assistance.
His number on his army certificate of education is 3710906. Pte illingsworth. H. 1st Ben. Kings own royal regiment. (31 Oct 1938).
Hope that helps.
Would be nice if it's attributed to a wartime airborne chap.
Regards
Jon

Some extra details that may help to determine the unit he was with in Norway. IMG_9968.jpg

Default Access to The Kings Own Royal Regiment

HNY chaps.
I'm moving on the group in this thread and figured I'd have a quick look into Henry before he leaves my study forever!
He was with the 1st Bn The Kings Own Royal Regiment.
These guys were on Leros when the Germans attacked, and only about 50 got away.
I'm assuming he is one of these, due to his later Liberation of Norway certificate (the Kings Own don't appear to have had any troops in Norway at wars end).
Are there any records I can look at for the Kings own?
All the best for now
Jon
