Default Parachute Regiment Beret

Anyone else spot this piece of rubbish? Can't believe it's currently sitting at £500. Worthy of further research? Worthy of being thrown in the bin I'd say.

Default Parachute Regiment Beret

The badge has the classic flaw of the small die defect under the inner upper part of the left wing. See the following for a detailed analysis;http://arnhemjim.blogspot.com/2011/0...cap-badge.html.

Someone is regularly making berets with numbered cap badges, fabric packing behind the badge and a piece of tape with the number printed on it. There have been a few on eBay too

Denison material is also that of the 2nd variant of the '59 Pattern, circa 1963ish.

A very secure way to effortlessly lose a lot of cash, if you're into that sort of thing.

6162000 would suggest originally a member of the East Surrey's.
Complete and utter rubbish, certainly not WW2, as claimed.
