To the best of my knowledge Simon, they are exactly the same badge.

That's what I was lead to believe. Just thinking outside the box.

Let's see as you say if there's a Queen's guru on to set the story right.

Si,

I knew there was an old thread about this... just took me a minute or two to find it:

Thanks PJ, I read through it; looks like mine still has hope.

Thanks Andy and PJ. So it would look like the good GM thin lamb was copied for the duff bi metal ones? Regards, Paul.

Simon, so far I don't think anyone has put their hand up and said the void tail patt. is duff. I like it, and have one but not sure where it fits in. They are about in some numbers. My lugged The Queen's is the chunky lamb type. Regards, Paul.

Paul,

I have seen plenty of duff bi-metal versions of both designs, to be honest.

Do you have an exmple(s) in your own collection that this may apply to then, Paul?

PJ

[Sorry Paul - we obviously posted at the same time. I didn't see your last post until submitting this one].

I've posted my 3 on the forum before but some time back. I'll see if I can find the post. Some of my early posts have gone missing from the forum. I've never been brave enough to branch in to economy badges! Cheers, Paul.

Found a link-http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2628 Years rushing by!
I don't seem to have posted the slidered one but will dig it out if you like- standard badge with vent holes to reverse. Cheers, Paul.

Paul,

If I have understood you correctly, you are asking if your slidered, non-braze hole, badge is a good 'un?

If so, I would say (from the pictures) that it is a very nice badge indeed. Nicely voided at the front leg and tail, signs of wear to the high points but not too much generally, and the halo is in excellent shape too.

Peter.

Thanks Peter. Going back to the picture I can now see my one has a voided front leg and Simon's does not. I think in the past someone mentioned some lambs have the right front leg supporting the flag. The lamb debate continues.. Cheers, Paul.
