Thoughts on this King's Liverpool badge.
I've had this a while but can't make mind up as to it being genuine, Any input would be welcome, looks like whoever made it couldn't decide where to solder the fixings!
Cheers Tony.

I think the badge is ok Tony, looks like a Firmin horse, nice ground too.
Seems to have been some confusion in lug replacement from N to S over to E to W. They are found in 2 piece too. Paul |

Thanks Paul, I thought the two piece construction would be iffy but just my opinion, so very encouraging.
Cheers Tony.

Thanks Simon, this ones coming out of the rubbish draw, will look through Peter's albums and find the battalion that wore all W/M.
Cheers Tony.

7th Bn KLR 1908-26
They were made in one piece and in two pieces, with EN loops and NS loops and of course with sliders. I've defined about 18 different dies (based on the 'ground') for this Pattern (4362A/1896). So far I've only seen this Die (my 96/2B) on OSDs and on bimetal regular badges. Interesting to see a TF version ! Yes, Firmin - one of the OSD examples is marked so. |
