Default WW1 or WW2 Badge ?

Hi folks,
I just acquired a General Service/Rising Sun Badge.
Could anyone tell me which conflict it belongs too ?
It has 3 lugs on the back of it.
Any input would me most appreciated.
Cheers
Wig

hi wig
hard to tell if ww1or 2 without a makers name, but i will guess its ww1.
the badges were never issued with 3 lugs and the top lug has been added later. the other 2 lugs may also have been added later? hard to tell from the pic.

Hi BC,
Thanks for your reply.
Judging it's vintage/era without a maker's mark is a tough one.
I'm a novice but I've noticed with the standard 2 lugs on the badges, they're placed above the scroll.
With this badge, 2 of the lugs are placed at each end of the scroll.
Also the lugs on it are a good couple of millimetres taller than the norm.
You mentioned they weren't issued with 3 lugs, and that these may have been added to the badge later...I reckon you're on to something there !
On the back of the badge there's no evidence that lugs were once above the scroll. i.e. have been removed,
Maybe there was originally a slider on the back where the top lug now is ?
So it could be a WW1 badge ? Maybe ?
Again, thanks for your input mate, much appreciated.
Cheers
Wig
