Nice score. The CF badge era is not well documented (yet) and there are many insignia anomalies that need to be documented.

Hi
Nice badge. Do you have a pic of the rear? I have a solid back screw post one around here somewhere. Buckle badge is what I've come to believe. regards Darrell

Darrell, I have two different screw post Tri-service badges. One has a central single post which was for a buckle. The other has two posts, but no provenance or description of use.

Hi Bill
Here's one that I have. Probably too lightweight for a buckle. I was sure that there were two hole (N/S oriented) buckles that took a CF "Cornflake". Ed, you must have a pic!! regards Darrell

Other than very early trial badges, screw post badges are usually belt buckle badges. Screw posts were prohibited for use, and sliders mandated. Screw posts did too much damage to hats, especially service dress caps. Occasionally I have seen belt buckle badges used as cap badges, but this was not their original purpose. The single post badge is an oddity, and was probably made for some other purpose.
