Not sure if this is in the correct section
Marlborough ccf have gone back to the old pre 1937 badge on the beret A circlet surmounted by a bishops mitre - Household Div ,with guards ribbon backing they are no longer associated with line regiment I am awaiting a photograph of this badge ,also at present i am uncertain what this badge is made of Regards David |

Interesting. How accurate is the pre-1937 date? I know that contemporary sources state that the shield badge with title scroll was being worn in 1938.

Hi not sure how accurate the 1937 date is -this came from a note and photo the late [J.B]sent of his collection of Marlborough items Sold Bosleys 4/96 I purchased the helmet plate I suspect the 1938 date is more accurate
marlborough college-1938 cap badge the arms of the school are worn surmounted by a mitre with the word marlborough on a scroll Button the letters M.C overlapping S/T Marlborough college O.T.C in straight lines I would assume the old type badge was no longer worn from this date I have this 2nd badge in blackened brass,brass and anodised 1st type-Marlborough College Cadet corps bronze ? lugs Marlborough College O.T.C Corps b/b slider I have a photo of this type being worn c1905-cadet corps Last edited by 49lassiepen; 17-08-13 at 11:14 AM. |
