Interesting. How accurate is the pre-1937 date? I know that contemporary sources state that the shield badge with title scroll was being worn in 1938.

Default marlborough

Hi not sure how accurate the 1937 date is -this came from a note and photo the late [J.B]sent of his collection of Marlborough items Sold Bosleys 4/96 I purchased the helmet plate I suspect the 1938 date is more accurate
marlborough college-1938
cap badge the arms of the school are worn surmounted by a mitre with the word marlborough on a scroll
Button the letters M.C overlapping
S/T Marlborough college O.T.C in straight lines

I would assume the old type badge was no longer worn from this date I have this 2nd badge in blackened brass, brass and anodised

1st type-Marlborough College Cadet corps bronze ? lugs
Marlborough College O.T.C Corps b/b slider

I have a photo of this type being worn c1905-cadet corps
