Default I know this one is real!

Okay, I THINK I know this one is real. In any case, it is the only badge I have that was passed down through the English side of my family. Supposedly it belonged to a relative named Henry Gwatkins. What I don't know is what it is, or what it represents (warrant officer rank badge?, General Service Badge?, etc.) It measures approximately 48mm x 48mm. Any help would be appreciated!
