Default Local Casualties of War

Hi All,

Is there an organisation that will provide figures for casualties of war in a local area, those that have lost their lives since 1945, in The Falklands, Aden, Gulf, Afghanistan etc. Not names necessarily as I'm sure modern data protection would come into play.

I apologise if this is a silly question, and perhaps something I should already know. Having spent a lot of time and effort tidying up a war memorial I was thinking to broach the subject of an addition to the garden, if there have been any more recent losses, the last casualty on the memorial being from the second world war. I'm sure I have heard of at least one Royal Engineer who was lost in Iraq.

Edit: I've emailed the MoD as this is perhaps the most obvious option available.

Thanks in advance,

Phil
