I well remember an article in the 'Bulawayo Chronicle' in 1970/71 about the only bloke who made bag pipes in Rhodesia, clearly the chap referred to in an earlier post to this thread. The cost of a set was Rh$80 at a time when the exchange rate for the Rho $ against the £ Stlg was TWO, i.e. one Rhodesian Dollar = ten bob.
For the record, Rho$80 went a very long way in those days. johnG

This was worn as a buckle centre on the stable belt in the late 1970's.

Incidently, I also have a Signals Stablebelt buckle similar to the Engineers one shown.

Just received this badge from Traist. Can anyone throw light onto this badge?? ruwa has said "This was worn as a buckle centre on the stable belt in the late 1970's". I have been told that it is from the RHODESIAN CORPS of ENGINEERS Piper Band.
Any help would be apprecated

Your circular red RhE badge was used on the Engineer stable belt 'glued' centre on the chrome rectangular buckle.
