If the garb he is wearing is the Khaki Drill shirt, the collar badge might be that of the Hampshire Regt (Churchill, 2002, p.162). According to Churchill, the badge was not sanctioned but was worn while on overseas service.
It could also be the E. Lancs. rose but the shape doesn't seem right for it. Cheers, Gaz |
