Default War Department Stamp

Hi all, I've not been collecting for long - but today I bought a Worcestershire Regiment (WW1) cap badge with a War Department (WD) and broad arrow stamp on the slider. Is this a recognised/legitimate marking or have I just purchased another dud?

Thanks for your help and expertise. G

Could you post a picture of the WD /!\ mark on the slider please?

Tim

People who sell these tend to also have J&Co, Shuttle and Jason & Jones slidered badges, needles to say that almost if not all their stock is duff.

Magpie, hi - I bought this badge from a dealer at a local militaria fair - a decent enough bloke to be honest and he made no pretense about the badges authenticity/value, he just knew I liked Worcester's related stuff. Hey-ho, a tenner gone west !!
