Oslo,Norway,1945...
Famous Norwegian Resistance fighter Max Manus armed with a Swedish m/37-39 SMG* while acting as the Personal Protection Officer to the Crown Prince of Norway, Olav V, during his triumph parade through Oslo, 13 May 1945.
This was a great honour, and Manus was lauded as one of Norway’s most resilient and successful fighters, aged only 30 at the time. * The Swedish variant of the famous Finnish Suomi KP/-31 Submachine Gun. The Suomi was later copied and adopted by the Soviets for their PPD-40 and PPSh-41 submachine guns. http://65.media.tumblr.com/01a2b78bf...ivfo1_1280.jpg http://67.media.tumblr.com/a3c9e6e63...ivfo2_1280.jpg
