Default 79th A.A. Brigade

Can anyone please tell me if this post war Liverpool formation which had its Headquarters at Woolton had a formation sign and if so what the design was ?

As far as I know all the AA Bdes wore the badge of AA Cmd.

It might be worth checking the ORBAT of (your local - HQ was in Runcorn?) 96th AGRA (AA)(TA) in case AA Bde HQs (TA) were subordinate to AGRAs? Mike

1947 Bde units: 306, 470 & 573 HAA, 525 & 655 LAA Regiments RA (TA) .
1.10.48 Redesignated 79 AA Brigade .
10.3.55 Anti-aircraft Command disbanded .
31.10.55 SA .
31.12.57 Disbanded .

1947 Bde units: 626, 653 HAA, 533 LAA/SL Regiments RA (TA) .
15.7.50 533 LAA/SL Regiment amalgamated with 653 Regiment to form 533 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (The Liverpool Welsh)(TA) .
15.7.50 653 HAA Regiment amalgamated with 533 Regiment as 533 HAA Regiment RA (TA) .
10.3.55 626 HAA Regiment amalgamated with 470 & 525 Regiments as 470 LAA Regiment RA (TA) .
10.3.55 Anti-aircraft Command disbanded .
31.10.55 Disbanded, Manchester .
