Default 78th Div slip-on?

Hi, picked this up today, any idea what the yellow flash could be? It looks as if the yellow has been worn away, but I can't see how it could happen to both, thank you in advance, Mike

Wholly genuine 78 Inf Div slip-ons, but I have no idea what the addition of the yellow tape could signify. More likely to be the mark of a sub-unit within a battalion/regiment than an actual battalion/regimental flash. As worn on the shirt, the worn portions would both be at the front (or the back) - if there was wear to the formation sign and KD slide it may have been caused by web equipment - but trere is no such wear. In short - I've no idea. Mike
