resized to 750 pix wide and compressed to 105kb

edit, and it's still lost the sharpness it had [even resized] on my desktop.

Was there a prior restriction? I regularly load up very large files that then get resized by the forum.

Mike,
Seems to be fine to me. The largest "raw" bmp image I have successfully downloaded was around 8Megs and although the loading itself took a while - as it would - I have no problems with downloading etc. Largest jpeg was around a
Meg. Its nice to not have to worry about resizing them, just about getting the framing right.
Nice cottage by the way. Looks like the one my wife was brought up in Larne......

some are having problems uploading but the max upload size is large 16mb+ if you're getting timeouts / 'token not found' messages then your pics are massive, - - best to reduce them in size first.

I cannot keep increasing the number as it's a monster consumer of bandwidth - and for nowt really - as the image will be resized to 100 - 150kb or less anyway.

Mike

I stick to a reasonable size for upload.... its pointless trying to jam a *.TIFF file of mahoosive size just to be reduced to a fraction of the size

Google Chrome doesn't like it that big, not displaying properly until I mouse over the image. (on this computer anyway)

I'm not sure Ritchie, I'd have to check it out, fisherman's cottages for a long time anyway, but I expect many are holiday homes now.

RAF Boulmer is just over a couple of fields from that row.

The square concrete blocks are WW2 tank obstacles, recycled into sea defences.

Just the old problem regarding the forum gagging on big picture uploads Dave.
I think modern cameras with 20Mb outputs are the problem! (probably handy if you want a print the size of your living-room wall - not much use on here though!)
