Looks good to me, the color is off but its the picture. No cut to the chute above the riser which is a tell tale of a recent copy that is going around. The dimples behind the letters looks good and behind the risers under the chute. The scroll looks good with nice raised letters.
How much are they asking if you don't mind. Mike |

it would be in the interest of other members for the naysayers to provide a detailed explanation of why they believe the badge in question is a bummer. it reminds me of the time long ago of the pontifications of people coming out with sweeping statements like " that's duff, fake etc ". when asked to elaborate on their reasoning they coughed, shuffled their feet, looked skywards, passed wind and ambled off with no reply.

The seller probably thinks he has a good one, which might explain the price. Oh well, live and learn.

Canadian Parachute Corps Cap Badge
Not knowledgeable enough to render an absolute judgement, but can offer an article from my blog that will provide some guidance as to what to look for. See; https://arnhemjim.blogspot.com/p/british-militaria.html . Just scroll down the article for a specific analysis with photographic evidence. Hope this is of some assistance.

I would be interested to hear from others what makes this a bad badge.

Compare with the badges posted in the gallery Mike. Lots of little clues. Plus the badge in question appears to be a cast badge, not die struck.
