Default Help Identifying Hampshire Regt Badge.

Hello all, I was hoping someone could help me identify which Hampshire Regiment Badge my uncle wore in WW2.

His service record states he enlisted as a militiaman into the Hampshire Regiment as a Private and states:

13th ITC Holding Battalion 16.02.40
7th (Posted) 13.04.40
7th (Posted) 18.04.40
7th Commando (Posted) 31.07.40

Does this mean he was posted to the 7th Battalion Hampshire Regiment and was issued their 'Dog Gauge' Badge as his initial Army Number was 10179151? (A Territorial number?)

Or was he issued the standard Hampshire Regiment Badge as the above Army Number was crossed out and his new Army Number became 5501875?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Simon

He would have worn the standard Hampshire cap badge as the Dog gauge badge was not worn in WW2.
