There was a very eye opening thread some years ago where member Neibelunger gave some insight into the processes used to copy lancer plates. Electroforming, if memory serves.

I also recall that it copies detail down to micron level and to an extremely high quality of finish. Lancer plates had been copied for years before this so fakes were difficult to spot anyway.

So if anyone can tell for certain I’d be interested to hear how.

Cheers,
Luke

Hi Phil,
Colder than a well diggers butt here for the next week. Other than that all is well and still researching and collecting. I found this badge in my late father's stuff. He didn't collect but must have bought it sometime. Anyhow try to determine if this is a good badge, value etc. I would like to find it a good home for trade or sale.
What new down there ? My wife's nephew down under for a walk about.
Tim
