Happy 100th Birthday RAF
My I be the first to congratulate the Royal Air Force on achieving its 100th birthday today. Stayed up special to raise a glass to the light blues.
Obviously some squadrons, raised whilst part of the Royal Flying Corps, RFC, or Royal Naval Air Service, RNAS, have already produced special badges celebrating said birthday. Add them here if you have any? Ian H |

Per ardua ad astra. The Junior Service has done the UK proud in its 100 year existence. Fiat Justitia. Regards, Paul.

A flypast of one hundred aircraft this coming summer was mentioned in the media today.
I am slightly surprised, not to mention, relieved, to hear that they still have as many aircraft as that in these hard times. Last edited by Frank Kelley; 01-04-18 at 01:35 PM. |

Please see attached the first 3 RAF 100th Anniversary patches I found. Note that, as stated in my original post, these patches pre-date the anniversary of actual founding of the RAF, so they're RFC or RNAS founded.
Any more (there must be lots) out there. If anybody's got a 7, 18, 24, 27, 28, 30, 33, 47, 60, 70, 78, 84, 230 Anniversary badge available, I'm interested. Ian H Last edited by ianh67military; 01-04-18 at 04:59 PM. Reason: Badges copyright Terrane Limited |

and another couple, this time from 230 Squadron.
Made of the rubber that seems to be becoming the 'new' thing for badges. Ian H |

I like the reference to Tiger lager (personally I stopped buying it in the UK when bottles of the stuff brewed here quietly replaced the proper stuff on the shelves.

Another 100th Anniversary badge. But this one is from 2012. The hundredth anniversary of the Central Flying School, as opposed to the 2018 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal Air Force.
