Default Sherwood Rangers

I have a great deal of badges and stuff from the Sherwood Rangers pre WWI.
My Grandfather who was the Ranger was also one of the first 100 Royal Flying Corps. I've inherited a bunch of the stuff as weel, everything from logbooks to bittons. Nice trip through history looking at this stuff.

Hello Gjd55

SRYC pillbox forage cap Green with 1.75" band of gold Irish-Wave lace, a gold welt on the crown seam, a gold "tambour" button and a figure on the crown (that follows the Hussar figure but not exactly the same). Officer pattern.

Its a very nice and rare example of an Sgts pillbox.... the officers had the additional gold welt in the crown seam it appears. SRYC Officers Mess jacket and waistcoat below..
