Default Thoughts and Comments Part 2

Following on from Part 1 I would be more than happy for people to give the tuppence worth. I shall not be offended and none of the badges are part of my collection.

Photos 11 to 16 are with makers’ marks on slider all from different eras.

Finally Photos 17 and 18. These badges were sold in the PRI shop of the Guards Depot. Recruits were not allowed to wear the anodised badges but were to wear these (with a good polish of course). Do these count as original badges?

Hi Chris!
Do you have a better image of the Irish Guards Star? It looks like a Gilt Star, that’s been brasso’d?
If so then it’s possibly far older.
