Dob,
I’m not a fan of anything marked SILVER like that, sorry. Who is MNW? Anyone heard of them/him? Reminds me of the dodgy cap badge with hallmark and 3 different initials, KV? I think it was? Just my opinion mate,
Wilf

Appreciate the caveat, Wilf. The price is reaching the realm where a mistake would hurt. Perhaps this is a case where it is better to be safe than sorry...

Could ‘MNW’ be ‘Mappin & Webb’?

Its not as though these are poor quality, quite the opposite IMO.

You could be right there JT, the mark looks the same as the example shown on the site with a 1922 hallmark, strange all the examples shown are with a proper hallmark and not the word SILVER, that's my only issue. They may well be right Andy but certainly not top quality & quite an ugly pair of Minerva's there too!! Good luck with your bid Dob, the mark may be nice & clear in the flesh, all the best,
Wilf

Smarting from the recent bad news about my QVC KOSB badge, I decided to err on the side of caution, and parceled my money out on several smaller, safer deals...

Thanks for the help, everyone!
