help with 3 unknow badges....
one of my friend have found a small collection of badges ....
3 of them are unknow to me , what are they ? ,original ?, value ? thank you for your help |

Unknown Badges
First badge is a Collar Dog in brass of the 1st Chinese Regiment sometimes known as The Wei Hei Wei Regiment,raised in North China (Shantung Province ) just prior to end of the 19th Century,fought in the 3rd China War (Boxer Rebellion) and disbanded c 1907 when many of the R & F joined the Wei Hei Wei Police.Chinese soldiers with British Officers and Colour Sgts.

The third badge is interesting.... is it Victorian? Looks like a Viking longboat represented in the centre?

Hi,
The third badge is for topee of 9th Madras Native Infantry. Boat commemorates first Indian unit to serve outside British India. Cheers, Tinto |

Since 2013 i have never see the owner of the badge ( and i dont know is name , he dont know my name , he dont know where i leave now( i m retired since 6 month) and i dont know where he leave.....:-(.......)
After 3 years i imagine i will never see him. So if somebody is interested by the badges , i can sell them. Cheers Jp |

Mais mon retour sera bref, avec la retraite j' ai du me separer d'une grande partie de ma collection pour pouvoir payer la refection de mon nouveau chez moi.... Enfin....il me reste l'infantrie de ligne qui etait complete. ( cap badge, collars, titles et boutons).. Cordialement Jp |

In fact, The Punjab Regiment, Indian Army, still carries the ship on its badge, some 5 or 6 amalgamations and name changes after the original 'Coast Regiment' of sepoys earned it. It always causes comment too, just because it's not a tiger, an elephant or a kirpan!
