Default eagle

Hi all, can some one tell me where this eagle helmet plate is from? It measures just over 3"

Looks Prussian to me..... the shield, from the hatching, would be red (Gules) .... with the cross in silver.

It looks like the Prussian eagle of Queens Dragoon Guards but I’ve neither seen it in that shape.

Could be Italian actually..... The Kingdom of... Arms as used by the Kings from 1848-1880

It has to be from 1852-1946, when the Monarchy ceased and the country became a Republic. The modern versions have the Republican crown at the top and a different coat of arms. The force is called Policia di Stato.
