Early ORs pewter glengarry badge circa 1860.
Notice the absence of the word rifle from the title.
The fragile pewter has a WM backing plate with vertical pin attached to strengthen it for wear. Became the 4VBRH in 1887.

Officers silvered pouch badge, RPHRV in floriated and entwined letters. Two screw posts to the reverse.
Royal Perth Highland Rifle Volunteers. The PHRVs were not entitled to the prefix Royal it is thought that this badge was adopted in 1887 when the PHRV became the 5th (Perthshire) Volunteer Battalion Black Watch (Royal Highlanders).
Ex H King.

Victorian officers s/p & gilt glengarry badge C1881.
Cast back star mounted with a gilt overlay surmounted with a pinched style of crown. St. Andrew to the centre has a separate tang for the cotter pin which is made of blued steel. I believe this was the first pattern adopted by the 2nd Bn in 1881, see post no 78 for the Sgts version.

Pipers WM plaid brooch 3.1/4" diameter. C 1890s.
42 numerals have been removed from the die leaving ghost numbers in the space below the buckle strap. The quoit is cast and St. Andrew is die-struck and back filled with lead.
