Default Foxtrot Squadron, ADFA Unofficial hat badge

Here's a badge you don't see very often.

Foxtrot Squadron, Australian Defence Force Academy - Unofficial hat badge.

"Cast metal, gold plated (one-piece) construction. Authenticity of issue and any authorized uniform wear of this item has not been confirmed with the ADFA as at the time of publication. Nevertheless, the design of the insignia itself, is known to have been used for quantities of stand-alone hat badge items (with pins) and as mounted sub-unit (Foxtrot Squadron) plaques etc."

Quoted from "Metal Uniform Embellishments of the Australian Army post 1953 (‘QEII series’). Volume 1, Insignia for Corps and Schools etc"

Enjoy!

Mick

There are also Squadron insignia plaques for Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Echo Squadrons... however I have never seen those made as stand alone insignia... only as plaquaes.

Happy Collecting!
Mark
