Default 40 RCU Noarlunga

A recent pick-up: 40 Regional Cadet Unit Noarlunga. The scan looks a bit odd but the badge is plain GM with a flat back and clutch grip fasteners.

When you Google this unit it comes up as currently titled 40 Army Cadet Unit. Does anyone know when it was 'Regional' and when it changed title?

(Noarlunga was an old town in the southern Adelaide Hills where my mother's mother's people settled in 1839. It's now a suburb of Adelaide.)

Probably become 'Regional' in the last 10 years.

Thanks, Mick. However, the current listing seems to suggest that it is now 40 ACU, so it must have been Regional at some previous time.

I notice, also, that if you Google 40 Army Cadet Unit Noarlunga, the first listing comes up with whole lot of contact details including a phone number, 08 8186 7026, an email address, 40acu@cadetnet.gov.au and a web site, www.cadetnet.gov.au/aac/40acu .

Why don't you just contact them and ask the question?

Yeah, fair point. I prefer to consult sources I'm familiar with before I start bothering unfamiliar phone numbers and emails.
