Default Unknown Rank Armlet

Can anyone shed light on the this sealed pattern armlet?

Originally marked as "Armlet, WO (IRP) Reservists" the words "Rank Badge" have been added later.

The strap is one inch wide and the crown is the small-sized one worn above chevrons by Staff Sgts.

The Checked date is 12 May 194? which could be 1943 or 1945.

Suggestions please.

Jon

No idea, but odd to have an 1943 or 5 date and a NSN.

Default Individual Reservists Plan

Jon, (and Marc)

Here is the JSP768 Section AT3-7, Part of DMC CB Tri-Service Buttons, Medal Ribbons and Other Miscellaneous Items description.

Looks like the KC has been added to match the 1943 / 1945 'checked' stamp but the label type is well post WW2 and the Pattern No and NSN are fairly recent in sequence. For example NSN 130-8446 is the RMP 'Close Protection' qualification badge for No2 Dress Pattern No 23191 from the 1970s-80s.
