Expensive Eritrea Police cap badge on ebay
Words don't actually fail me, but we do have a lady or two on this site. Knew I shouldn't have got rid of mine all those years ago.

Unfortunately our American cousins frequently have expectations which are seldom achieved when it comes to some of their eBay listings! Still I suppose you can't fault their being optimistic..........

About 20 years ago I was wandering through a street market in London and found an Eritrea Police badge just like the one on ebay. I remember that I paid 45 quid for it, which was a lot of money for a tourist from a weak currency area to pay, but I needed it . But that was 20 years ago so if anyone wants to offer me $2500US for it then its yours ( and may you live a long and prosperous life !) Hell, its a sunny day in the weak currency area I call home, give me $2000US ( offer only open for today )

I notice this badge has been re-listed, not surprisingly due to it not selling.
I couldn't resist the temptation so wrote the seller politely asking if he has made a spelling mistake on the asking prices.. Not surprisingly he never replied... If it were me I would be rather embarrassed. Still, a badge I would like to find one day. In the meantime if anyone has examples they would like to share, it would be nice to see some? Cheerio, Roy

Quote:
Two sold on eBay last week for £41 each, I know as I was the second bidder in both cases, but I don't rate them as worth much more than that and wasn't interested in getting into a bidding war. Another'll turn up. All the best Graham

Thanks for that Graham,
I have been watching for a while and didn't see the two you mention, so will continue to keep my eyes open. Cheers, Roy
