Default Cavalry NCO, 1912

This is, apparently, a Cavalry NCO in 1912. Can anyione identify the badge, please.

If you had just shown me the badge then I would have said one of the Senior Division UOTCs such as Sheffield.

In any other circumstance, I'd say Sheffield University OTC. According to Arrsepedia, they've been in existence over a century. No idea if they've always had the same cap badge. Mike

Just as an aside, why does the photo uploader turn previously turned photos back on their side when I upload them? Is there anything I can do to stop it? Best regards, Mike

The original posting was in a Facebook account owned by a group called 'From the Sea to the Somme', who rode/ride horses across France to commemorate the role played by cavalry, mounted troops and horsed transport in the Great War. lately, in lieu of recent activities, they've been posting old photos and this one came up with the note that the poster couldn't/hadn't IDed the uniform. I passed on the info. So, thanks again!
