Default RAF Physical Training Instructor - Help Needed

Hi All,

I'm trying to find out what badge (if any) an RAF PTI from the early 1950's would have worn, did they have a trade badge or any sort of distinctive marking?

Thanks a lot,

Michael

The photo is dated 1941 but it shows the brass badge worn.

There is also a cloth version as attached

Default KC PTI Patch

Hi Michael,

Here is another RAF PTI patch that was worn. I believe this (later) version may have been worn up to 1953. There is also a QC version with the same coloured background that was issued afterwards.

Regards

Default Yet another version

In 1972 the backing was changed from the blue/grey to a navy blue felt.

Thanks a lot everyone, looks like I will have to look at his record to check his service dates before I get one.

I'm fairly sure he was in between 1947 and about 1956 but I only really want one to display with an RAF cap badge really.
