Default What is this Naval badge please?

This cloth badge came with a group of Great War Medals to an A.B. in the R.N.V.R. along with a few other odds and ends from the same house clearance. Could someone be kind enough to tell what it represents?

Thank you.

Hi Simon,

Its an Engine Room Artificer rating, cap badge. Pre 52, obviously.

Phil,

thank you. This Leading Seaman's badge came with it. The chap that I buy a lot of my collection from does house clearances and puts bits aside for me. I suspect that he stockpiles stuff as I am never sure if they have all come from the same house clearance. The R.N.V.R. medals were Great War and to a Gallipoli casualty.

This cap badge has had more than one use. Here is a link to the one in my album that gives the dates and who wore it.
