Default 220 Indep Inf Bde

Its Independent status only lasted for 13 months from formation in Oct 40 to its subordination to 76 Inf Div in Nov 41. As far as I know it never had a formation sign. A search for photos of members of 23 RF, 9 Bedfs Herts and 7 and 9 R Norfolks might give a clue.
It's possible that there might be a short-lived sign that has defied identication, but I doubt it. Most of these obscure Inf Bde of that period lingered on until late 42, so it may have been those that had formation signs were authorised to adopt them in the period late 41 - late 42.
