No-one has forced him to desist, I simple expressed an opinion , clearly some agree with me and others don't . I actually no longer read jo's posts - I made my choice - there are simply too many of them and they don't appeal to me

I feel that I do contribute to the forum on a variety of ways, just not by posting dozens of photographs that can be accessed elsewhere

Yes, I can trawl through the IWM archives at my own leisure if I so wish, but I think in taking the time and making the effort to do this himself, Jo has provided a wealth of material that has generated a lot of fascinating discussions and engaged many of us in conversations with each other we otherwise might not have had.

I agree completely , surly if you're not interested in any particular thread it's no trouble whatsoever to click past.

I always look forward to Voltigeur's pictures - lots of good uniform information. For those who are annoyed by his posts - I cannot for the life of me understand why - it's easy enough not to click on them.

Good badging all (though not good picturing)

To be fair, it was posted in the correct section, which is, in my opinion, at least, fine and what that particular section exists for in the first place, what I get fed up with, is seeing these posts dumped throughout the other sections, which ideally, would be far better without them. unless the images have a particular relevance to a badge actually being discussed.

My dear bewley,if you take a second look at my yesterday's post, it said;
I will cease and desist in posting NOT STRICTLY badge(s) related photos
and my thread on the Green Howards IS about the badges worn......metal and cloth.

Thank you
Jo

Perhaps this site needs an 'Anal Retentive Section' where differences of opinion of alleged minor breaches of forum rules and regulations can be thrashed out.

Just a thought.

These tedious IWM posts are like a prison rape. You know it's going to happen and there's nothing you can do to stop it. You just have to close your eyes, clench your teeth and get it over with because you know it's going to happen again.
I'd be more impressed if Jo posted pictures of the rare and unusual badges in his own collection along with any comments based on his own research.
