Default The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) FSC badge?

A new acquisition which, although in rough condition, I am pleased to have. Could someone please confirm that it would have been worn on the Field Service Cap or on the collar?

Looking through Colin Churchill's, History of the British Army Infantry Collar Badge it would appear to be 54 or 55 and worn on the mess jacket.

Thanks for uploading the photograph Pete. They certainly look very similar and consequently I not sure if my badge is for the Mess Dress or the FSC.

Hi High Wood,

I really wouldn't like to say. I think that yours may be slightly smaller or have thicker thread (from counting the twists in the torse) but I'll defer to the experts.

KR,

Pete
