The earliest (post 1908) examples had the blank central scroll where the imperial had been removed.

Looks to be an officer's collar badge to me....or for the FS cap? Certainly an officer's badge however.

Uum? I'm not too sure. Although, I'd have thought a potential head-dress badge with those 'larger' voids and the scale of the obverse detail; what are the measurements of the badge?
This scroll type is the late interwar and pre-1954, type - or so I would believe. I haven't looked at my yeomanry badges for a long, long time. Best, Marcus |
