This is of course an Officer's badge. OR's had lugs to the best of my knowledge.

could just as easily be an ORs badge as all the initial badges were bladed, see here!

One learns something everyday! Thanks Andy. I have seen these bladed LG badges over the years and of course always assumed them to be officer.
Any idea as to how long these bladed badges were in use for ORs?
