Default East Surrey Regiment Officers Beret Badge ?

Had this East surrey Rgt badge arrive this week from ebay,Same size as the ors badge.Very well made badge apart from the transfers.I have seen nothing like it before. The only idea I can come up with is a sample item?.

Hello Monty,
I had a pop at this, well done for winning it. I bid as it is so unusual. I can't actually say what it is ...

Thanks for the reply Matti. In fairness to it on the auction site it was not possible to make out that it was transfers on it.Just to add abit more info the back of the badge/Star part is made in two parts the BS added to the Star. The gilding is your normal post war standard.

Even more intriguing them Monty... I did wonder if the camera angle was a tad odd as on e-bay it looked 'drawn' on. It looks like some special purchase sweetheart. I wonder what is under the transfer? Not that i am suggesting you have a look!

Could it be a movie piece or perhaps something for a tailors display?
