Question RAMC collar badge query

I bought this white metal badge at Thetford a couple of Sundays ago, the loops were missing which I have replaced.

The scroll is blank and shows no signs of ever having been different, does anyone know if this is a volunteer variation or a badge from the empire.

Thoughts welcomed.

Rob

Rob,

I would say its a badly cast and very well polished 'home made' badge of the period, hence the lack of detail on the scroll.

regards

Default W/M RAMC

Simon, this badge looks like it has been well polished and as you say poorly made, a curiosity to go on my RAMC board.
