Default Logging off

Can someone please give me some advice.

Quite frequently when I hit the "submit" tab after typing out a post I get the message that I am not logged in. It always surprises me because I know that I have logged in. I have always presumed that maybe there is a time thing that has expired because of my slow and laborious typing. Usually I just log in again and all is well, though rather annoying

Today I had to type out a post three times because not only did I get the "not logged in" message, while I did go through the re logging in process my post disappeared off into cyber space somewhere.

On the second occasion there seemed to be utter confusion. Not only did I get the message that I could not submit my post because I was not logged on I got a second message advising me that I could not log on because I was already logged on. In the meantime my intended post disappeared..... again.

Is it just me or is there something that I can do to help avoid this from happening.

next to the text boxes where you put in your username and password there is a check box, it says 'remember me'. Click that and it should solve your problem.

If it doesn't it may be down to your browser settings.

Thank you, Phil.

I shall try to remember to look for that box.

Hi Donny.

A wee bit of advice from a technophobe; moi.

Highlight and copy your post before submitting and if it fails to send, disappers into cyberspace or vanishes to wherever thay vanish to, at least you won't have to retype it.
Simply use the mouse to paste what you had copied. and try again.

Hope this may assist if the problem isn't solved.

Regards
Brian

it's a cookie problem but try,

in internet explorer:

Tools> Internet options> security>

under "select a zone to select or change security settings"

there should be a big green tick "trusted sites"...click it

then click the "sites" button (previously grayed out until the above step)...

then click "add" to add this site ..the details should be filled in for you if you're on the forum when you do the above...if not fill it in with http//:www.britishbadgeforum.com

Thanks Mike and everyone else for the advice and tips.

Everything has been taken on board so hopefully there will be no problems in the future. I shall see how things go when I return after a few days down by the lake.
