If cutting things in half with a bandsaw is his method of research I sincerely hope he gets no more British militaria.
A decent pair of 1942 boots sawn in half for views and ‘likes’ on YouTube… |

Rose Anvil does a great job when he cut’s boot/shoes/trainers in half and explains what is good and what is bad.
He does it with cheap/expensive item and let’s you know if your just paying for a brand name (being ripped off !!!), have a look at him reviewing Dr Martin boots. At the end he is saying how well made they were all those years ago and how nothing would compete today (apart from bespoke Northampton made boots). Companies send him their stuff for him to review them when cutting them in half and breaking them apart so he must have some influence. Ta Jonathan |

I am not convinced that they are/were British Army ‘Boots Ammunition’.
Made by John White of Northampton certainly and high quality size 12 footwear. But - no toe cap, made with suede rough outer leather uppers and not pebbled. No toe or heel plates and strange hob nail pattern. I did not see a date or WD /|\ mark stamped into the leather. In the late 1960s my Combined Cadet Force QM stores had lots of boots all stamped with WW2 dates that were sold to cadets for 30 shillings a pair. Of course they were small sizes and cadets would trade them in for a bigger pair as their feet grew! Cobblers some might say! Tim
