Made by one of the Regimental Jewellers such as Bickertons for among other purposes as Ladies Mess Wear. (expensive sweet hearts!)

Definitely a sweetheart brooch, I have one somewhere in Marcasite rather than diamonds which belonged to my mother and was a gift from my father in 1940.
