Royal Mail Shares
Seeing on the News today that shares in the Post Office ( or parts of it ) are to be sold off and having been to the local Post Office twice today to post some small Jiffy bags ( containing badges ) and some small parcels, I am flabbergasted by the amount I have spent.
It seems to me that with more and more people buying on line and having items delivered by post, this is one business that can only increase its profits ( without increasing efficiency and customer care ?? ). So if you have any spare cash that you don't want to spend on your hobby, buying Post Office shares looks to be a good home for your money. (They might even offer a discount in the cost of their services to shareholders !!!!!!!! ) P.B.

It seems that anything in this country that has the potential to make large profits is being sold off as 'it's in our best interest', including the NHS. Obviously a select few reaping the benefits is far better than the profits being put back into the country!

The sad thing is that you can only sell the family silver once ( " Once its gone, its gone" as the ads say ) and you cant tell who in the long run will end up owning " once proud "British companies.
P.B. ( What did happen to the " once proud" British companies ? Ships ,cars, aircraft and all sort of other goods are still made but no longer by entirely british owned companies and not necessarily in the UK )

I used to work for Royal Mail as a post person. I joined straight from leaving the Army. I could not believe how badly managed it was. I worked at a large delivery office where most post persons did as they pleased, with such selfish attitudes. I knew of a few people that should have been sacked, and of one that was sacked 4 times. He kept on getting reinstated, with back pay due to the incompetence of managers. Its another British owed Historical business that has be ruined by Greed, Selfishness and Incompetence. But thats just my opinion.
