Default colour patches on a uniform

these look home made. another patch im not sure of.

bc, those colour patches are original, they look to be a grosgrain type of material you just don't see these days. Hand made for sure but original.

Is that an officer's service dress jacket, and if so what period. It looks like a diamond patch has been removed from the sleeve, and not too tidily, I can't believe that it would have been worn in that condition and in any case the patch is too low. The patches may not be original to the jacket.
