These went for a high price $535 on ebay so could some one tell how rare are these and is this the real value??

Cheers Jack

Yeah I saw that. Someone really wanted them. I think they went for a premium price.

Default Australian Brass Numeral 58

This brass numeral 58 would go together nicely with those 58 Essendon shoulder titles !!!

Hi Jack

I have both varieties of the 58th Bttn badge but have never seen the shoulder title to go with the badges so Id think that they are pretty rare.

Regards

Phil.

The price is irrelevant, it's the scarcity of the shoulder titles, which dictates what a serious collector for this time period will pay, basically it comes down to supply and demand.

I've only ever seen one of these shoulder titles for sale in the last 6 years, good luck to the eBay winner, he or she knows how rare they are to find for sale on the open market.

You pay what you feel comfortable with, but I then I would not pay 10K for an WW1 slouch hat either so price is important to me as I did bid on these, but went to $385 but I could not justify any more ......... but that's me
Also paying a high price does not mean a serious collector ,just someone with deeper pockets .

I think they are quite rare titles, I bid $500.
I thought if one was for sale individually it would be $250+.
I have never actually seen one of these for sale before.
The search continues...............

Well then their are lots of collectors out there with deep pockets, who would spend serious money on shoulder titles like this pair of 58's !!!

yep you are correct and I know some deep pocketed people who collect medals and uniforms (aussie) and one is not a serious collector just a person who likes to invest in some thing else to make money .............. but everyone to there own and I also like my old man are serious about our collecting but we do have limits ( mother )
