Default are these ww2 australian colour patches

hi all
are these ww2 australian colour patches and if so what are they
they came in a big pile of world patches so no clue there.
the square patch looks to have a hard leather white rectangle sewn on

Yes, they are of typical NSW manufacture from early in the war.

most interesting. they did seem to be as you say early NSW manufactured patches but ive never seen one with a leather rectangle. was that also common?
so would i be correct in saying it is 1171 remounts aasc?
what is the other triangle patch?

HQ 2 Aust Corps for the triangle. I've only ever seen the leather inset on AASC(P)(Remounts) patches, I doubt there were that many around.

Leather patches were not uncommon in the Middle East during the Great War.

It's such a basic patch but now one of my favourites (aasc remounts)
